PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

WORDBLITZ is a random word generation game written in HTML and JavaScript. The program generates streams of random letter combinations of a chosen length and challenges the player to identify any real English words hiding among the noise — before the computer scans them for you. The core mechanic was originally written in Python as a Code Blitz assignment: a function that picks random characters from the alphabet and assembles them into strings, then outputs a batch of them to the screen. This version expands that idea into a full browser-based game with a point system, streak multipliers, a live intercept log, and a spy-thriller aesthetic. The challenge stays true to the original concept: pure randomness occasionally produces real words, and it is your job to find them.

TECHNICAL NOTES

The word-detection system checks each generated string against a dictionary of over 1,400 common English words. Points scale with word length — longer words are rarer by probability and therefore worth more. A streak multiplier activates after three consecutive correct identifications. The original Python logic (random.choice + ''.join()) is replicated exactly in JavaScript using Math.random() and string concatenation. AI assistance was used during development.
