What does this program do?
The Random Sandwich Generator picks a random combination of bread, filling, and sauce every time you press the button — serving up a unique sandwich you might never have thought to make yourself. The sandwich illustration updates in real time to visually match whatever was generated, so you can watch your creation stack up layer by layer.
How it works:
The program stores four options for each ingredient category. Each button click randomly selects one item from each list, then redraws a custom SVG graphic with colors, textures, and details specific to that combination — grill marks for chicken, marbling for beef, a scored crust for sourdough, and so on. There are 64 possible sandwiches in total (4 × 4 × 4).
Fun fact: If you clicked the button once a day, it would take over two months to see every possible combination — and some of them are actually pretty good. 🥪
