Placeholder text for student work. I will update this section later with examples of Geometry projects, activities, constructions, proofs, or other work created by students.

Thank you to all parents/guardians who replied to my Sep 4 email and indicated they'd like to help with supplying classroom resources. Honestly, I did not expect such a response! Please don't feel obligated in any way to donate materials. But if you are still interested and willing, I've listed some items below.

If you're supplying any of these, please let me know and I'll try to keep this list updated. Thank you so much!

Items needed:

  • Boxes of Kleenex (qty 30-40)
  • 3-hole-punched graph paper (I'll probably go through 20-30 reams of 500 sheets this year)
  • colored construction paper (any)
  • Chisel-tip dry erase markers, any color. We do a lot of whiteboard work and go through lots of these markers.
  • I have classroom protractors and circle makers. I am trying plastic circle makers instead of metal compasses to draw circles this year, as they are less of a safety risk. I just purchased a full set of these. The protractors are old, so if you wanted to donate any, I could probably use them. If you want to purchase these for your student, the Helix brand makes a nice plastic circle maker (link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0044S5CZM). They also make a nice compass and protractor set. (link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001TJ9GHY).
  • Also, if you wanted to get your student their own ruler, consider one punched with 3-holes, as they could be stored in your student's binder. Here's an example.

Items already donated:

These items have been generously donated - thank you, all!

  • Disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer or roll of paper towel
  • Wood pencils (last year I went through about 300 wooden pencils)
  • 3-ring binders, 0.5" or 0.75" (Qty: 100) I started all students with a paper folder but we are outgrowing them.
